data reveals that 112 organisations in the state bear the ‘Gandhi’ name. A majority of them have the name of Mahatma Gandhi, while some bear the names of Kasturba Gandhi, Indira Gandhi and Seemant Gandhi. A couple of them are after Rajiv Gandhi, though he was no freedom fighter. The unregistered organisations run into hundreds.
The second place goes to the Nehrus. Jawaharlal Nehru and Kamla Nehru together account for 60 organisations in the state. Subhash Chandra Bose's name has been used by eight organisations while Kuer Singh, the Bihar hero has just one named after him, former president Rajendra Prasad’s name figures in nine, Aungrah Narayan Sinha’s in 20, while Sri Krishna Singh’s name has been used by three organisations.
Bihar potters especially from Champaran and Singhara village, the Place where Gandhi bappa started his stayagrah movement , are very fond of making Ganesh Bappa idols for ganesh utsav which is fervently celebrated in Mumbai , now may be you can call it a Bappa connection .
