Dandiya and Garba is a folk dance very popular in Western India in Mumbai and Gujarat, Now you may think how is it popular in Bihar. Well since Bihar has been a cradle of hindu civilisation , how would biharis stay away from celebrating dandiya which is festival of dance .There are many shows by Bharatiya Nritya Kala Mandir who organises Bihari Dandiya for an entry fee of a few 1000 bucks . One Mr yadav says he likes the Garba so much that he has picked up a few gujju words like “Anhiyan Aao (come here), jami lidhu ? (have you eaten?) , kem cho? (how are you ) ,” he asks in Gujarati laced with a north Indian accent.
Now this craze has doubled the number of Jain and hindu tourists visiting from Gujarat and maharastra to bihar . Such is the craze of bihari dandiya . so make it a point to enjoy the flavour of bihari dandiya
