Bihar faces rice scarcity

even though there is so much development word going on in bihar assembly polls and after .
Bihar is set to face a shortage of rice as paddy output has declined by at least 45 to 50 percent due to this year's drought, an official said Monday

An official of the Bihar state agriculture department said that as of now, paddy output appears to be less than 50 percent of the average, which is bad news for farmers as well as the state administration. Farmers are almost facing huge poverty and hunger due to drought , and Bihar govt is lethargic in getting funds from Union govt of India to save the lives of farmers , They should pro actively get the Cetral funds to remove this rice scarcity from drought affected region of bihar.

Patna Film and Media industry

Nitish kumar and his cabinet has been actively asked by the Patna Film lovers to set up Patna Film industry for production of Bhojpuri and Hindi films. This demand has been made by people in and around the regions for the past 10 years but the Bihar state government is not showing any active interest into this matter. currently i know there are many film producers in bihar and UP who have to go to other Sates due to lack of infrastructure facilities like Film Studio in Patna. One of my friend a reknowned bhoj puri film makers says "Yeh nitish ji ke bharose rahein to bahut time lag jayega film banane main , isliye hum apni filmein doosre prant jaakar shoot karna padta hai. jisse humara cost of production kafi increase ho jata hai, saaare kalakaron ko doosre jagah le jaana , logistics etc ka cost."

But it seems Nitish is least bothered about any woes of the bihar film fraternity.

Bomb Blast at Varanasi ghat

Again there occurred a bomb blast on Tue 7th Dec 2010 at the ghats of Varanasi.
Especially the area around Godowliya and Dashasumedh ghat attracts a lot of Tourist From India and all over the world, and is very busy in the evening with traffic and people moving at snails pace. UP Govt should really think of modernizing this locality in terms of infrastructure, widening of Godowlia road & security of people i.e citizens as well as tourists. By Widening of Road and proving a flyover in Godowalia area , will help to ease the traffic flow and remove congestion , hence such occurences which can lead to stampede can be avoided.

Several foreign tourists on a religious sojourn in the city were left shocked by the Tuesday evening blast.

"We don't know what actually happened there. We were at the ghat when we heard a massive explosion. The entire place was engulfed in dust and people started running helter skelter. We also left the ghat immediately but didn't know where to go," said Emilie's friend Jodie.

French tourist Rachel too avoided taking treatment at the SPG Hospital where politicians came rushing, more for political mileage than to inquire about the injured. In the name of treatment, the injured were only given first-aid and then referred either to a private hospital or SSL hospital of Banaras Hindu University.

At the explosion site, district and police officials remained busy passing on the blast details to their bosses in Lucknow.

In the wake of Varanasi bomb blast security has been tightened in the State of Uttar Pradesh,Bihar and rest of Indian cities which can also be under threat

Bihar's improving infrastructurec & bridges

courtesy: press
In the aftermath of the Bihar Assembly elections, where the incumbent chief minister, Nitish Kumar, won an overwhelming majority, Bihar’s road agenda is set to enter a new phase.

The state is set to have its first road construction and maintenance project based on the public private partnership (PPP) model. The project would extend from Bakhtiyarpur to Tajpur, along National Highway 38 (NH-38).

Of the 52.5-km stretch, 5.5 km will be a bridge and 47 km an approach road, requiring an investment of Rs 1,502 crore. Navayug Engineering Corporation Ltd (NECL), the concessionaire, will invest Rs 917.74 crore, while the Centre will invest Rs 277.5 crore and the state government Rs 307 crore.

The project is set to be implemented by the Bihar State Road Development Corporation (BSRDC), in partnership with NECL, a Hyderabad-based construction company.

“Construction of mega bridges is essential for connectivity in Bihar. At present, Bihar is equipped with 40 per cent of its overall bridge requirement. Also, given that maintenance is a cash-heavy prospect, we must engage the private sector,” BSRDC Managing Director P Amrit said.

BSRDC is the nodal agency for the implementation of road projects in the state. Constituted by Nitish Kumar in 2009, it is registered under the Companies Act, 1956, with a share capital of Rs 30 crore. For the project, the private partner would construct and maintain it over the next 30 years.

“While most of the work was carried out by the government in the initial phase of road development, we recognise the importance of engaging the private sector. A proposal incorporating PPPs, and Build Operate and Transfer road projects has been drafted and is awaiting cabinet approval,” said Amrit.

BSRDC to get $1,150-mn loan from ADB, Jica
BSRDC is also set to get a loan of $1,150 million from the Asian Development Bank and Japan International Cooperation Agency for road construction in 2010.

The loans to BSRDC are an extension of accolades that the state has received for the construction of 27, 000 km of roads under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who rode the road programme to victory in the Assembly elections last month.

When Nitish became the chief minister for the first time in November 2005, the state had only 384.6 km of roads, compared to 27, 000 km high-quality roads that it currently boasts of. “The plan outlay on roads forms around 30 per cent of the total state plan size, against a meagre 5-6 per cent in past years,” Amrit said.

Of the $1,150-million loan, ADB will lend BSRDC $300 million for the development of State Highways 90, 91 and 81, while Jica will provide a loan of $850 million for the development of National Highway 82.

“In the vision for Bihar roads, the chief minister has made it clear that the target would be to ensure a maximum travel time of 6 hours to Patna from the farthest boundary of the state. We hope to achieve this in the next 5 years,” Amrit added.

The Buddhist circuit that the Jica loan will be used to develop connects Bodh Gaya, which already has an international airport, with Nalanda and Rajgir, ending at Bihar Sharif.

Negative Points :

Along wioth improvement in infrastructure, roads, bridges in Bihar , there has been a surge in Real estate prices , which has also attracted a lot of negative elements of society in terms of goondas , crooks and mafias who would want to make money by illegal means , so one has to be very vigilant while making purchases and deals to find right people in business.

Lakin in sab road development ke beech main ek aur sawaal uthta hain , ki sirf road development se hum Nitish Kumar ko "Vikas purush" (development man )keh sakte hain , jab ki bihar main aur sahuliyaton ki bhari kami hain , jaise education , industries , public transport , international airport , good agriculture etc .

Langda Aam of BanaRas and Patna

Langra Aam is a very tasty and sweet mango also known the LANGDA AAM of Banaras Region of UP & Western Bihar ,In Villages one has to be at duty to collect the fallen mangoes and save them from birds and crows..... And kids makes places to climb on this mango trees also some cough kind of bricks to sit there to enjoy the cool wind and beauty of nature.
It has originated as a superior chance seedling near Benares, Uttar Pradesh, India. Mainly langra produces in eastern UP (India) in Banaras , Purvanchal and Patna. The taste of langra varies by places, but Patna langra is believed to be the best of all. Size medium to large, ovate, base round to slightly flatten, shoulders equal. Beak minute but distinct, sinus slight to absence, skin green and thin, flesh fibreless, yellowish brown in color, scented, highly melting, very sweet and very juicy and very tangy. Stone very small, flattened, oval. Weight of an average fruit is about ¼ kg. Fruit quality very good, bearing heavy. Season (Early to mid Season). 1st to 3rd week of July. Heavy yielder. The overall fruit quality is so good that people of eastern states of India believe it to beats other mangoes of the world . Because this fruit is not found in abundance, it has not been marketed much internationally. In Bangladesh, it grows in plenty in the districts of Rajshahi and Nawabganj neighbouring Malda.
In Pakistan, it grows in the district of Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan and Mirpurkhas, Sindh.

Aam ki itani mithaas to shayad hi duniya meinn kahi aur mile jo is Banarasi Langda
Aam ke mangoes mein hai. Remembering my childhood days I am feeling nostalgic ,how all my cousins and me used to sit and waited there for KOO(n)PAR to fell down and we grab them ha ha Really very sweet experience I have !We also used to climb upon the tree upto some height .And the pump nearby which mainly for irrigation but was the second bath place in summer for all of (badmaash bache log) where we kept on bathing until it be shutdown by any of elders and we got scolded . It used to be real fun bathing at the machine pumps used for irrigating fields , and at times in the nehar or pokhraas near villages to learn swimming and stuff.
There is a famous bhojpuri song on Langda Aam with the lyrics " Balaji Langda AAm chusave Raat ke Barah baje " made just for mauj, mastee or Ras for rural people of Eastern UP , Bihar , which is termed as "benarasi masti" .
There is high demand for Landa Aam and many food items made of langda aam like murrabba , achar by UP Agro n food processing industry etc in international market in Gulf countries , Africa ,Europe and Americas.

Negative Points :-
There is high level of competition for export business of Langda Aam In bihar and UP ,hence sellers and farmers use all tricks in trade to sell their produce like adulteration and using goons , crooks and Mafias to suppress competitions in national and international market of Langda Mangoes. So one has to be be careful these days

Bhojpuri music piggybacks on popularity of its movie

Bhojpuri music is fast coming out of its cocoon. Earlier relished only in rural areas of North Indian states of Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh, this genre of music has now struck a chord with music lovers in metro cities too. According to a media survey, Delhi alone boasts of a number of Bhojpuri song listeners.

"Thanks to the increasing popularity of Bhojpuri films, the music too has found a new lease of life," says Prem Sagar, a city-based singer. He also informs that several music companies based in the capital, like Chanda Music, Jayanti Enterprises, Santosh Communications and Wave Music, are frequently releasing Bhojpuri albums. "They also reap huge dividends by marketing them throughout North India. Recently, four lakh copies of an album were sold," he adds. Supporting his claim, a Mumbai-based music analyst says that the listeners of Bhojpuri music have outnumbered those of Punjabi music.

Chandni Chowk, Lajpat Nagar and Paharganj are said to have many music stores that only sell Bhojpuri CDs and cassettes. These store owners also agree that the sales of Bhojpuri albums have soared. Says Sharad Kumar, a store keeper, "The sale of Bhojpuri music has gone up manifolds during the last couple of months. This was after the successful run of Bhojpuri films like Sasura Bada Paise Wala and Punditji Bataina Biyah Kab Hoi in the city theatres, whose music is still in demand." But at the same time, Sharad also admits that the listeners of Bhojpuri music largely include auto and cab drivers and other labour migrants from North India making a living in the capital.

Many leading Bhojpuri singers are Delhi-based. Star singer Manoj Tiwari (also a leading actor of Bhojpuri movies) recently released his album Hai Rama Gori Gori. Besides, other popular singers Guddu Rangeela and Prem Sagar also sing for Delhi-based music companies. The leading lady of Bhojpuri music Devi, whose albums Pardesi and Kudi Biharan have been smashing hits, is currently recording for her next album at Film City, Noida for T-Series.

According to Param Kishor, a new Bhojpuri singer, whose debut albums Kajrare and Holi Ke Tadak Bharak Tere Sang hit the market recently, singers are mostly hired by music companies on a contract basis. He says, "Leading singers like Devi and Vandana Vajpayee charge Rs 1.5 lakhs and Rs 30,000 for eight songs respectively, while the new singers get Rs 1,000 per song."

He is happy that the growing popularity of Bhojpuri music has provided both opportunities and employment to struggling singers.

Sensing the huge fan following, Bollywood singers have also jumped on the bandwagon. The current favourites seem to be more interested in Bhojpuri than Hindi music, while ace singer Asha Bhonsle sang for the film Nehiya Sanehiya recently.

The secret of the success of Bhojpuri music, according to critics, is the depiction of rural life and traditions in full colour with a raunchy mix. And that?s why titles like Jeans Dheeli Karo and Lehenge Mein Laden Ghusgawa fail to surprise anyone.

Bihar - new Power secor

Investors’ confidence in Bihar’s power sector is set to get a further boost, with the Nitish Kumar-led JD (U)-BJP alliance returning to power with an absolute majority in the recent assembly polls. Bihar has attracted the attention of power sector investors during Kumar’s previous term as chief minister.
Central utilities like NTPC, which had turned cautious about investing in Bihar over the deteriorated law and order situation in the state and also because of the weak financial health of the state electricity board, seem to have changed its mind.

Significantly, NTPC’s tripartite agreement with Bihar and the Union finance ministry, which secures payment for power supplied to the state, is valid only till 2016. NTPC then was reluctant to set up more power plants in the state. But now it does not seem to have any such reservations. The central utility is setting up 1,320 MW Barh-II in the state. It is.eveloping another plant, 1,000 MW Nabinagar thermal power project, in partnership with the Indian Railways. NTPC has only recently commissioned its Kahalgaon expansion power project in Bihar.
Meanwhile, NTPC has also partnered the BSEB to revive the latter’s defunct Muzaffarpur thermal plant. The contract for implementing the revival plan has been awarded to Bhel.

Bhel is also implementing BSEB’s renovation and modernization plan for the unit 6 and 7 of the Barauni thermal power plant, for which equipment were earlier supplied by the public sector company.

The Nuclear Power Corporation (NPCIL) has also shown an interest in setting up a 2,800 MW nuclear plant in the state. The state is likely to see more investment from central utilities in power generation as the law and order there further improves and industrial activities pick up.

After assuming office in November 2005, Nitish focused on improving the investment climate in Bihar by tackling the law..and order problem. His efforts have paid rich dividends, with private investors thronging to the state with project proposals. However, law and order is still an issue hampering investment.
Bihar, which had no independent power project earlier, has received proposals from private players for setting up projects worth 20,000 MW after Nitish became chief minister in 2005. Of this, about 10,000 MW capacity is under construction and expected to be commissioned in the 12thPlan. The balance capacity is meant for benefits during the 13thPlan. Besides, NPCIL plans to put up four units of 700-MW pressurised heavy water reactors at Rajauli, Nawada.

Meanwhile, the BSEB is implementing projects worth 2,860 MW. Of this, 500 MW is being added on its own and the rest under a joint venture with NTPC. The entire 2,860 MW capacity is expected to be commissioned during the 12thPl

Bhagalpur Tusser Silk Industry

The silk industry in Bhagalpur city is 200 of years old and a whole clan exist that has been producing silk for generations. Bhagalpur is well known for its sericulture, manufacture of silk yarn and weaving them into lovely products. This silk is of a distinct and special type. It is known as Tussah or Tusser Silk. Silk weaving is an age-old traditional household industry of Bhagalpur. There is a Silk Institute and Agricultural college here as well as a University and Engineering, Medical and Homoeopathy colleges. In Bhagalpur the weavers service centre (GOI) was established in the year 1974. With a view to developing handloom silk industry in the state of Bihar. The Silk sarees produced in Bhagalpur are more popular in the domestic market. The Bhagalpur cluster is the second highest in silk fabric production and exports after the Karnataka state. Bhagalpur silk home furnishing made ups are slowly becoming popular in the Overseas markets.
Noted Bihar-origin designer Samant Chauhan wants to see the silk-town of Bhagalpur in Bihar on the world fashion map.Thirty-year old Samant was born and brought up in a middle class family in the railway workshop township of Jamalpur in Munger district, about 150 km from Patna. He graduated in Physics from Bhagalpur before making a career out of his passion.
Woven craft is an uphill task at a time when fashion stores order sherwanis and dresses in all other colours except natural.
He has a plan to start a factory that produces, what he called, non-violent silk. According to him 1,500 silk worms are killed to get one metre of woven silk.
Chauhan showed at London, Singapore and at Ethical Fashion 2008 in Paris. But he has won more awards than retail orders. His clothes have buyers in Europe, the US and Australia, as his garments created from raw silk are suited to colder climate. But that is not the case in India.

BanaRas means always ready juice of life

Courtesy : The times of India
VARANASI: The joie de vivre culture of Banaras-- the city where 'always ready' (bana) is the juice of life (ras)-- makes this millennia-old city unique with its rich heritage. But, it has been realised that the cultural and natural heritage of the city is increasingly threatened not only due to the traditional causes of decay, but also by changing social and economic conditions.

"It is believed that the natural setting, the spirit of place, and the continuity of cultural traditions have all blended together to create and preserve a unique lifestyle known as Banarasi," says professor of cultural geography and heritage studies, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Rana PB Singh, who has been working rigorously for the conservation of city's rich heritage. "The lifestyle of Banaras is distinct in nature and referred to as 'Banarasipana'. It is an art of living, both passionate and carefree, both relaxed and concentrated, both intense and free, both traditional and modern- what the Banaras dwellers call masti (joie de vivre), mauj (delight, festivity) and phakarpan (carefree)," he says.

Singh evaluated the city's heritage extensively on the scale of UNESCO World Heritage List and found that it had all the merits to fit in the frame, though city had not yet been proposed for inclusion. The city is unique in the architectural, artistic and religious expressions of traditional Indian culture. According to him, The city has two main historic remnants of a holy past -the first one being Sarnath where Buddha gave his first sermon in 528 BC and the second one being the Rajghat Plateau, where the archaeological findings and the C14 dating of some of the wares excavated from the earliest level confirm the existence of urban settlements in the period during 800-500 BC. Both these sites have been included in the heritage zones identified for the nomination to the UNESCO heritage list.

Symbolically, the flow of the Ganga from south to north refers to the life cycle from death (south, the realm of death (Yama) to life (north, the realm of life, Shiva, Kailash). This unique directional change of the river course led to the development of the ancient city Kashi on the west banks of the river, facing the rising of the sun and making thus the ghats of Varanasi sacred for all Hindu rituals.

The Varanasi Development Authority has already drawn out a Master Development Plan of the City (1991-2011) and has identified heritage zones in the city. The architectural heritage of the city is seriously threatened by immense pressures from increasing population, modernisation, economic development and tourism. The Varanasi Development Authority (VDA) undertook the task of documentation of the vast architectural and intangible cultural heritage of the city and its surrounding region to protect them.

The Ganga and its riverfront and Old City heritage zone satisfy the UNESCO Cultural Heritage criteria. The riverfront ghats cover a length of 6.8km along the crescent-shaped bank of the Ganga from the confluence of Asi in the south to the confluence of the Varuna in the north. This zone falls mainly into the category of groups of buildings, groups of separate or connected buildings which, because of their architecture, their homogeneity or their place in the landscape are of outstanding universal value from the point of view of history, art or science of UNESCO.

The Ganga with its riverfront ghats also fulfils the criteria of 'cultural landscapes' that specifically suggest that cultural landscape retains an active social role in contemporary society closely associated with the traditional way of life, and in which the evolutionary process is still in progress. Since ancient times, the natural and cultural landscapes of the city have retained an active social role in contemporary society closely associated with the traditional way of life. The city is a place of pilgrimage and a holy site for taking sacred baths in the Ganga, to have a good death, to get relief from transmigration, to learn and receive spiritual merit. The city has still maintained its traditions. Varanasi is a living symbol and an expression of Indian culture and traditions in all its religious rituals, multi-ethnic artistic traditions, architectural treasures, ancient educational forms and multi-ethnic population. People from all parts of India speaking different languages and dialects and carrying their own traits, taboos and traditions have settled in this city for solace and peace.

But, today, the heritage is at risk, says Singh. According to him, the heritage zones and properties are at the risk of being irreversibly modified or even destroyed due to immense pressures from tourism, economic development and population pressures which are now threatening the unity and integrity of the cultural landscape and atmosphere, and the urban skyline in these zones. This increasing population is over burdening the carrying capacity of the urban environment and the river eco-system and unplanned mass tourism could potentially have a hard impact on the cultural carrying capacity of the old city centre. The conservation of most heritage properties faces intense pressure. Even if these properties are presently in the same physical conditions as in the last couple of decades and their architectural characteristics are being maintained without many legal and administrative measures, their architectural integrity is now being threatened. In the name of development, old structures are modified or demolished.

Naxal Violence Erupts in Bihar

Violence erupted in Gaya district of India's Bihar state on Monday as members of two communities clashed. A dispute arose when a religious procession passed by.
The incident occurred when people from a community objected to the loudspeakers that accompanied the procession.
Angry mobs torched two vehicles and set on fire three huts in Baradih village of the district.Four people received minor injuries .
and on top of that it is Assembly election time in Bihar , hence it is unwise to bring any Leader and personalities for campaigns which can create communal trouble in otherwise Secular State of Bihar.
The 2010 Bihar elections had been marrred by Naxal violence in most of the districts of bihar Rural areas , As Maoists are fighting against the Government of neglecting their regions and keeping them deprived of any development , and led their lives into extreme poverty, thats how Bihar Naxalites justify their themselves . bihar govt led by Nitish Kumar is actively doing development work in bihar by rapid industrialisation and Agriculture & Educational growth , but the development speed is very slow , still 100% Bihar villages dont have electricity .
And giving a second term to current govt can be a harmful for bihar's development as he is less agressive in working and probably can get more lethargic by taking the win in state elections 2010 for granted .

Bhaang Thandai - Bhole Baba Ka Parsaad

Extracted from the Cannabis plant (Cannabis indica),
Bhang is an intoxicant which is known to be a stress reliever.
Bhang is often associated with Lord Shiva, and his followers,
the Naga Sadhus of the Kumbha Mela, are often seen smoking Cannabis.

Bhaang Thandaai is very famous in Purvanchal , Bihar and Nepal , and it is associated with Kashi Vishwanath Mandir in Kasi and PashuPatinath Mandir in Nepal.
People tend show one of their emotions (rasa) without inhibitions

There are many forms in which bhaang can be consumend especially during holi and Mahashivratri occassions. Like , bhaang kachodi , thandaai , bhaang mithaai and sweets , some people are prefer to have bhaang flavoured snacks other the the main
form in which it is consumed which bhaang Thandaai.

If bhang is takem with happiness and in the name of Lord shiva ,
It has a magical effect on one's body and mind.

The benefits of bhang

In many parts of the country, people consume bhang before their
main meal because they believe it not only enhances the taste of the food,
it also improves digestion.

The practice of making bhang a part of the happy events in one’s
life goes back to at least a thousand years.

While some believed it was
an enjoyment not to be missed, especially during celebrations,
others firmly believed it was beneficial to health.

Physically, bhang is said to be good for so many ailments from indigestion to
fever to dullness.

Mentally, it is said to make you very alert.
And spiritually, it is supposed to raise you to the plane of ecstasy.

According to traditional nutritionists, it is a complete food that
corrects any deficiency in the body and strengthens the immune system

Bhang and music

Besides Holi, bhang is popular at music festivals too.

Mixed into flour which has spices added, it is then made
into papads or poppadoms which are carried into the venue.

With bhang inside you, the sound of music affects all your senses,
filling you with joy with each note that is played or sung. And at time,
some people can get this feeling without having bhaang too (citation needed)

A plant you probably wouldn’t notice if you didn’t know –
and it has such power.

The potent way it affects the mind, body and soul is something that stays on in the memory long
after the last bit of colour of Holi is washed off.

Negative Points

Just like every thing has good and bad effects , even bhaang plant has negative effect , like there is lot of illegal sale and smuggling in purvanchal, bihar and nepal of bhaang.
It is also getting popular amongst the Naxalites and Maoist peopl of Bihar.

Shiraz E Hind Jaunpur Educational center of Purvanchal

Just like Shiraz was the center of learning in Persia and Central Asia , Jaunpur was the center of learning in India a few hundred years back, during the Sharqi dynasty rule and before, and hence the name Shiraz E Hind Jaunpur.
It had best textile industry , Perfume industry and Carpet industry with techniques from Central Asia and Iran weavers. It aslo

Uttar Pradesh Government should focus on developing Jaunpur railway station and connecting it with frequesnt trains to major cities of india which is currently lacking
and also the Jaunpur - Vanrasi and Jaunpur- Lucknow highway should be established and built to the national standards.
Now industries are coming up on Varanasi Jaunpur highway. A cotton mill is operational near Karanja Kala. Animal husbandry also constitutes a sector of economy .
UP govt should also provide the Varanasi Jaunpur highway with more educational institutions like ITI, polutechnique , Nursing college and engg/medical college , as significant population from Shiraz E Hind is working in the Middle East and abroad and enhancing there skills with such courses will provide more job and employment oppurtunity

The town is scattered with mosques, tombs, havelis, remnants of a unique architecture and history. There are five rivers Gomati, Sai, Varuna, basuhi and Pili (river) that make its land fertile , and govt should concentrate of developing commercial agriculture and agro industries

Famous scholar of JAunpur during sharqi perios was Muhammad Jaunpuri , son of Syed Khan of Persia.

Satharia industrial development authority has carefully planned and nurtured a self sufficient industrial area well endowed with requisite infrastructure and logistical support systems. But comparatively there are very few Industrial zones and SEZ in Jaunpur
and hence lot of improvement needs to be done in this area

Tourimsm industry has huge prospects in Jaunpur as Jaunpur is one of the larger districts in Uttar Pradesh and has the third largest population in the state. There are many places of historical significance in Jaunpur:

1.Viz.yamdigni rishi ka ashram
2.Maa sheetala shakti peeth
3.Atala Masjid (known for its fusion of Hindu and Islamic architectural style)
4.Jama Masjid
5.Bari masjid
6.Laxman ka quila
7.Shahi Quila
8.Shahi Bridge
9.Chaar angulia masjid
10.Khanquah Alia Rasheedia
11.Ranno Julu-se-Amari Ranno place(Must visit)
12.NaharPur
13.Maa Sheetala Dham AMHIT KERAKAT
14.Maa Maiher Dham Parmanatpur
15.Rauza e ali(a.s) HamzaPur jaunpur
16.Rauza Imampur Jaunpur
17.Zulqadar Manzil
18.laldarwaza masjid

Negative points : The Shiraz E Hind Jaunpur has some negative elements attached to it , like problems with Naxalites and Maoist who are fighting against the Government and feel that this region has been neglected of economic development and prosperity . And there are many shops and businesses in Shiraz E Hind Jaunpur also known for sale of spurious goods and adulterated food stuff.

DESWA

DESWA is a movie about 3 migrants from Bihar who move out in search of greener pastures to other city .

Excerpt from media

Neetu Chandra has devised huge plans for her debut production venture DESWA.
Though Bhojpuri films see a limited released in the country, DESWA would be going big.
Not just would it see a pan-India release in early 2011, it would also explore global audience with premiers taking place in different parts of the world.

download NEETU CHANDRA wallpapers

"We are aiming at going global with the film", divulges Neetu whose brother Nitin Chandra is directing the film,
"The film would not just be premiered in Patna, Delhi and Lucknow but also Mauritius.
After all there are so many Biharis out there in Mauritius. DESWA would help them make a connect with their
own soil all over again. We may even go to other countries for a premier."

CHECK OUT: Neetu's learning Tamil

As per Neetu, the film would not just have dialogues in Bhojpuri but also in Hindi, English and - believe it or not - Telugu.
Moreover, the film would be dubbed in Tamil, Telugu as well as Marathi so that it reaches out to the farthest corner of the country.

"The intent here is not just to make a film, make profits and sit back and relax.
This is just a humble beginning and there are miles to go", says Neetu, "With DESWA, we would be redefining the very face of Bhojpuri cinema."

The film sees the launch of three newcomers - Deepak Singh, Kranti Prakash and Ajay Kumar. However,
Neetu would be seen only in a guest appearance and not as the leading lady.
Instead, a girl by the name of Aarti Puri is being seen in the film.
From Bollywood, it is Ashish Vidyarthi who would be seen in a major role.
Currently, DESWA is being sent to film festivals before it sees a theatrical release.

Purvanchal Agriculture sector must be improved.

The growth rate of agriculture sector in Purvanchal has been very very slow since ages . The growth rate in Agro sectors in Purvanchal must be increased for years to come.

Agriculture is the core competency of Purvanchal and all our effort should be put in place to get the Agro Growth going.

Eastern UP with its fertile Gengetic plains should become Bread Basket for country. However currently Purvanchal is facing certain challenges:

1: UP State irrigation department is in efficient in providing water supply to Purvanchal approparitely

2: Power supply by PVVNL ( Purvanchal Vidyut Board ) to rural purvanchal regions is abysmal and many villages dont even have Electricity pole and transformer installed.

The agriculture must grow at much higher rate. It has to reach a high growth level to become the bread basket of India. This will require strong commitment from all the stakeholders, Central Government, State Government led by Mayawati , local administrative staff and the farmers to work jointly. The farmers must be able to take the opportunity with open arms.

The infrastructure and control required by farmers to meet their part of commitment for 10% growth are:

1: Access to Information (7x24) Farmers even in the remotest part of Bihar should have access to pertinent information seven days a week 24 hours a day. The recent devastation in Purnea and other area shows the lack of this infrastructure. The availability to get world price of grain, weather, information on nearest market, market demand of high cash value crop and good farming techniques would give farmers a chance to play their role in achieving 10% growth.

2: Access to Market: Not all the farmers have access to market. This compromises in the income of farmer. Samridhi foundation has proved that by giving access to market the farmers will easily raise their income. The construction of roads and providing special transport service to transport farmer’s produce to reach market will enable the access to market. This will not only facilitate to get fresh quality of produce but also in larger quantity. Government should not hesitate to give special incentives to transport service provider who bring the fresh produce directly from farmers to market in an expeditious way.

3: Value Add to Produce: Bring the packaging plants to farmers, so that they can move up the food chain by providing items with value added. Processing of Dried fruits, vegetables and vacuum packed fruits and vegetables etc. will not only reduce the wastage but also produce employment while generating more revenue for farmers. This value add and reduction in waste will result in increased revenue for farmer, which will work as incentive to achieve 10 % growth.

4: Access to Water: The infrastructure must be put in place such that the excessive rain or extra dry spell will not severely hurt the crop production. This can be done by state government working very closely with central government to manage the water by constructing, dams, canals, and interconnecting rivers. Hon President Kalam has a master plan to connect the rivers of state and India. Purvanchal will become the capital of water in coming decades and century with rivers like
ganga , Gomti etc. The successful water management will stop the devastation, and the Government and state can spend money on development, rather than on repair.

5: Access to Power: Power is key to increase efficiency of farmers, The watering of crop, processing for value added, capability to access information, requires power all the time. The success to achieve 10% growth in agriculture could be severely hampered by non availability of power. Government must provide incentives for generation of clean and green renewable energy following example of Bihar's power generation from Rice husk , Chaurs by Saran renewable energy etc. This is a opportunity which is just knocking at the door. Government of UP and Purvanchal administration, should promote the clean energy power generation by providing huge incentives to set up renewable power generation in village and it’s surrounding areas.

6: Access to essential services: Farmers should be able to fill up forms, request data, file a complaint, get land registry and be able to get all the requested information. These data are so easily available in any city and should be equally easily available in even the remotest village of Bihar. The banking facility should be available to each and every farmer in their own villageby means of micro financing also Purvanchal Farmers Co-operative Union should be formed which can open new coperative Banks and coperative Dairy Boards. This will increase the productivity of Agriculture and Farmers.

7: Access to Good Health: The proactive education on health, hygiene, preventative care and early treatment will make the villagers healthier. The health clinic should be part of the school facility with a nurse present all the time, This facility should be available in every BLOCK , and it is responsibilty of Block Development Officer to ensure this facility to villagers , currently proper dispensary is available only in Jaunpur district that too doctors without proper qualification which is very very shameful. Good health will result in good attitude and more productive farmer.

8. Better Public transport : UP State Govt should ensure proper public transport facility in whole of Purvanchal region , by means of proper buses and roadways , and railways facility , also there must be proper development of State highways in Purvanchal region in the region of Varanasi - Badohi- Jaunpur - Pratapgarh - Sultanpur, and proper bridge between Varansi - MughalSarai and a proper ferry boat between Varanasi- ( mughal Sarai, Ghazipur) .
This will also facilitate goods carriers to connect Purvanchal output to sea ports and other cities.

All the above eight points are equally important to achieve 10 % growth in agriculture sector. Government has to play a key role of facilitator. It has to attract business in green and renewable power sector. It must put it’s full effort on water control. It must put programs to give incentives to entrepreneurs provide farmers the access to market. With these as objectives, nothing can stop from becoming bread basket of India.

So the time has come for each Purvanchalis to work hard. It is news like this which wakes all of us up and requires all the energy to be harnessed in making Purvanchal and Eastern UP a developed regions which starts with Agriculture sector development.

Shiraz E Hind Jaunpur's Badohi Carpet Industry

Well , its regarding a place called badohi, a small village in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, , the art of carpet weaving is going their for ages and has made its mark in the global market giving really very hard competetion to the world .

With Indian carpets facing tough competition from global players, the Indian Institute of Carpet Technology (IICT) in Badohi is imparting training on better designing techniques. Carpet weaving in the country is largely influenced by the Persian style. The Institute has taken up the initiative to design better carpets to face the competition. K.K. Goswami, Director of the Institute, said that Indian carpets need a better marketing strategy. "Carpet designing began in Persia and so it has a Persian stamp till now. Though we have created a niche of our own, yet it is sold carrying a tag of being Indo-Persian. They have such a strong image. Though we are good, we do not have the same kind of identity and publicity," Goswami said. The Institute aims at promoting Indian designs and traditional patterns so that they can create an identity of their own in the international market. "We basically try to focus on Indian themes for our design. Indian designs like Harappa, Ajanta, Mughal paintings, we try to take from them and teach the same to our students. We pay heed to colours too, based on market interest," said Kailashish Karamakar, a lecturer in the Institute. UP is the country's largest exporter of designer carpets and rugs. There are about 300 well-established carpet exporters in Mirzapur, Bhadohi areas in the state alone. Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana are the other states where carpet industry has high concentration. The origin of the industry can be traced back to 16th century to the reign of Mughal Emperor Akbar who is said to have brought some Persian carpet weavers for production of Persian carpets in his own palace at northern Agra. Some of the most exclusive carpets were created during the Mughal era, each carpet was different from the other, but infused with a common magic of colour and designs.

Varanasi new airport building

The swanky new integrated terminal at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport at Varanasi is all set for a formal inauguration on August 3 by Union minister for civil aviation Praful Patel through a remote control device, in New Delhi.

Alongwith four other airports in different parts of the country, Thiruvanathapuram, Shillong and Gagan sattelite navigation system in Bangalore, Varanasi Airport will be will be formally inaugurated while the foundation stone for the Bhubaneswar airport will also be laid through remote control in the same event.

Built at a cost of 94 crore by Lanco Infratech, the infrastructure arm of the Hyderabad-based Lanco Group, the new integrated terminal building at Varanasi will cater to both domestic and international passengers and has come up on 26,000 sq mts area adjacent to the present airport building. While it is capable of handling 4 lakh annual movement at present, post modernisation it will be capable of handling 800 passengers per hour.

Speaking to FE, airport director Varanasi SK Siddh said the structure is equipped with all modern passenger amenities such as central air conditioning system, four escalators, five lifts and would have two aerobridges, walkways; in-line baggage screening for check-in, etc.

With the proliferation of budget airlines, the airport has witnessed tremendous traffic growth in recent from other cities of india.

Currently Air India is plying international flights from Kathmandu to Varanasi while Thai Airways and Mihin Lanka are in talks to finalise the schedule of the flights this year. but Lal bahadur shastri airport should be made an international airport in terms of infrastructure first since it has a capacity to handle international tourist arrivals for Buddhist and hindu circuits.

Purvanchal, bihar tourism industry change stance

There must be a wholesale change in the attitude of people involved in the Purvanchal and Bihar tourism sector for the sustainable development of the industry in this regions . Purvanchal and Bihar attracts Hindu , Jain and Buddhist Tourist from all over India and all over the world.
There are many Jain Tourist and Buddhist tourists from indian states like Gujarat , Maharastra, Karnataka who visit Jain circuit and Buddhist circuit in Purvanchal and Bihar.
There must be a a change in attitude of the Bihar tousist industry towards these tourists ; right from the person who is at the the railway , bus or flight ticket terminals to hotel staff , cab and auto drivers.
There must be additions in reastaurant menus like For example, are we going to have dhoklas, khaman, kandhe pohes, bada pav, idlis, dosas etc which are liked by Gujarati, Maharastra , Karnataka tourists.
And similar facilities for foreign tourist from Far eAst countries

Shiraz E Hind -Jaunpur - New educational and economic center of Purvanchal

There was a time when Jaunpur was known for its education and at that time importance was given to fundamentals teachings of Islam in every home in our community. Gradually things have changed and level of education start decreasing.

In 17 th and 18 th century, this district was famous for cotton clothes industry and perfume industry. In 15 th century, this weal resident of this district participated whole heartedly in Mahadevi movement

The economic development of Jaunpur District is mainly dependent on agriculture. The chief cause of this is the absence of industries which has led to many residents of this district to move to other cities of Western India , but now due to discrimination against them in these cities bu certain groups , industries are setting up in Jaunpur , following the industrial development in Bihar. Now industries are coming up on Varanasi Jaunpur highway. A cotton mill is operational near Karanja Kala. Animal husbandry also constitutes a sector of economy of Jaunpur District.

But inefficiency and beaurocracy at state and Central govt has led to no power supply by PVVNL and Irrigation and drinking water supply by UPWSRP (Uttar Pradesh Water Supply ) especially in regions between the Mariahu- Machchisaher tehsils, and the residents should fight with the Govt and teach them a lesson in the election if these basic amenities are ignored

Bihar in race for Borlaug Institute

Bihar is among the states in the race for the setting up of an internationally-acclaimed Borlaug Institute, famous for Green Revolution. Punjab is another such state.
According to state Minister for Agriculture Renu Kumari the state is in the run for establishment of the Borlaug Institute of international standard for which the state will provide full facilities. In this regard a team of experts from Mexico visited several places in the state early this month. It also went to the Rajendra Agriculture University at Pusa here in Samastipur district.
The Borlaug Institute’s programmes provide researchers, policymakers and university faculty from developing countries the ability to strengthen sustainable agricultural practices through scientific training and collaborative research opportunities.
The Borlaug Institute aims to be the leading international agriculture program among US universities, measured by the quality of its international teaching, science and extension programmes.
It needs to be recalled that Nobel Laureate Norman Ernest Borlaugh is considered as the Father of the Green Revolution. Though a US national he worked extensively in Mexico. He died at the age of 95 on September 12, 2009.

Manmohan the leader other leaders love'

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh tops Newsweek Magazine's list of 10 world leaders who have won respect and is described as "the leader other leaders love" though India figures at 78th place in the list of 100 best countries.

77-year-old Singh, who is into his seventh year in office, has played a "key role in India's emergence as one of the rising powers of the 21st century."

In an article titled "The Leader Other Leaders Love", the magazine said the economist-turned-politician Singh, engineered the transition "from stagnant socialism to a spectacular takeoff in the global economy."

"But it's Singh's unassuming personal style that really inspires awe among his fellow global luminaries, who praise him for being modest, humble, and incorruptible," the magazine said in the article.

It also quotes former International Atomic Energy Agency director-general and Egyptian presidential challenger Mohamed ElBaradei as saying that "the soft-spoken Singh is the model of what a political leader should be."

Besides Singh, British Premier David Cameron, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah bin Abdel Aziz al-Saud also figure in the list.

However, India figures 78 in the list of 100 best countries in the world with a score of 55.70 out of 100.

The rank was based on five categories of national well-being, education, health, quality of life, economic competitiveness, and political environment.

Besides, India is described as the 'Best Place to Fly a Kite'.

"Flying a kite from the roof is part of everyday life in gujarat India. But each year, on January 14, an international kite festival, Makar Sankranti, draws more than 1 million enthusiasts from 36 countries," the magazine said

MNS and taxi , auto driver , hawkers

the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has returned to take on its old favourites—autorickshaw and taxi drivers , hawkers , just for a few days it tried with Multiplex owners to show marathi movie as prime time shows but due to State govt interventions , and rich multiplex owners connections , MNS couldnt do much so again they have come back on harrassing auto drivers, taxi driver , this time saying that they refuse toferry the commuters. Now why would taxi driver do that purposely , when everyone wants to earn. Actually this MNs and Shiv Sena people are sick idiots.

One press report excerpt:-

“We also want these errant drivers to be penalised but Raj Thackeray’s sole motive is to derive political mileage from the issue,” said Munna Tripathi, president of Uttar Bhartiya Vikas Parishad, an organisation working for the welfare of north Indians

in the state. “There are so many issues but he is deliberately targeting the drivers because they are mostly from North India.”

Bihari Dandiya

Dandiya and Garba is a folk dance very popular in Western India in Mumbai and Gujarat, Now you may think how is it popular in Bihar. Well since Bihar has been a cradle of hindu civilisation , how would biharis stay away from celebrating dandiya which is festival of dance .There are many shows by Bharatiya Nritya Kala Mandir who organises Bihari Dandiya for an entry fee of a few 1000 bucks . Many many tourist from western india who have visited the bihari dandiya , have truly loved the flavour of Bihari Dandiya and people from all over india are flocking for "Bihari dnadiya".
One Mr yadav says he likes the Garba so much that he has picked up a few gujju words like “Anhiyan Aao (come here), jami lidhu ? (have you eaten?) , kem cho? (how are you ) ,” he asks in Gujarati laced with a north Indian accent.

Now this craze has doubled the number of Jain and hindu tourists visiting from Gujarat and maharastra to bihar . Such is the craze of bihari dandiya . so make it a point to enjoy the flavour of bihari dandiya

Bihars Bappa Connection - Gandhiji and Ganeshji

Independence Day quiz! Who is the most popular freedom fighter the state loves to remember by way of renamed organisations, roads, lanes and localities ? As far as government and non-government societies and organisations are concerned, Bihar is in love with ‘Gandhi’. Registration Department’s
data reveals that 112 organisations in the state bear the ‘Gandhi’ name. A majority of them have the name of Mahatma Gandhi, while some bear the names of Kasturba Gandhi, Indira Gandhi and Seemant Gandhi. A couple of them are after Rajiv Gandhi, though he was no freedom fighter. The unregistered organisations run into hundreds.

The second place goes to the Nehrus. Jawaharlal Nehru and Kamla Nehru together account for 60 organisations in the state. Subhash Chandra Bose's name has been used by eight organisations while Kuer Singh, the Bihar hero has just one named after him, former president Rajendra Prasad’s name figures in nine, Aungrah Narayan Sinha’s in 20, while Sri Krishna Singh’s name has been used by three organisations.
Bihar potters especially from Champaran and Singhara village, the Place where Gandhi bappa started his stayagrah movement , are very fond of making Ganesh Bappa idols for ganesh utsav which is fervently celebrated in Mumbai , now may be you can call it a Bappa connection .

Bihar govt is not serious to expand Patna Airport

It is heart breaking that Bihar Govt has refused to acquire land for Patna airport.
Someone needs to enlighten the state govt the importance of a proper international airport for a landlocked state like Bihar. When I was in Patna recently for my Kanwar Yatra, I saw four 737 / 320 type aircrafts at the tarmac simultaneously. The hall was chock a block with people. Earlier, we had read report by AAI that at 60% growth, Patna was the fastest growing airport in India. Three to four years back, a Mumbai - Patna - Mumbai flight used to cost more than a Mumbai - London - Mumbai flight. Now, with economy flights like IndiGo and Kingfisher Red, the same round trip costs an affordable Rs 7,000. Contrary to what many believe, the people residing outside Bihar are not necessarily indigent people who travel in unreserved bogies of Indian Railways. Why, even blue collared workers working in Dubai (and there are thousands from Siwan) need a flight to travel in comfort. The airport is also needed for trade, commerce and tourism.
Obviously, this 257 acre facility has run out of space to handle more traffic. Comparatively smaller states like Karnataka and AP have huge international airports and are much the richer for those. Even neighboring UP has a fairly large one at Lucknow (1186 acres) and the one at Varanasi at 582 acres is double to Patna. Ranchi in Jharkhand, again though small, at 546 acres is twice the size at Patna. It handles only a fraction of the traffic of Patna.
Land acquisition can be done at market price. As a matter of fact, the land acquisition for an airport can be done at a price higher than market price since the economics of a fast gorwing airport like Patna will definitely be able to afford it.
I dont know how, but we need to create huge pressure on the Govt of Bihar to take up the issue of land for an airport in a major way
why isnt the AAI procuring the land for the Patna int airport , prafful patel and UPA should answer this

In Nepal, Terai is differentiated into "outer" and "inner" Terai.

Outer Terai begins at the alluvial, generally forested and often marshy zone along the southern edge of the ~700 metre Siwalik Range -- the first and lowest range of Himalayan foothills. In Nepalese usage Terai extends to the border with India and includes drier, mostly cleared agricultural land below the marshes. Indian usage is more tied to hydrology and ecology. In some places the wetter ecoregion extends kilometers south of the Nepal border into India.

Most of the local population is ethnically Indian, natively speaking Awadhi, Bhojpuri and Maithili. They were largely disenfranchised during the Shah and Rana regimes that were largely administered by and for Paharis. This discrimination gave rise to political movements seeking greater representation.

Major towns of the Outer Terai (east to west):

Bhadrapur and Mechinagar in Mechi Zone
Biratnagar Inaruwa and Itahari in Koshi Zone
Lahan and Rajbiraj in Sagarmatha Zone
Janakpur in Janakpur Zone
Birgunj in Narayani Zone
Butwal and Siddharthanagar (Bhairahawa) in Lumbini Zone
Nepalganj in Bheri Zone
Dhangadhi in Seti Zone
Mahendranagar in Mahakali Zone
Inner Terai refers to elongated valleys lying between the Siwalik Range and the 2-3,000 metre Mahabharat Range further north. In India these valleys are called "Duns", e.g. Dehra Dun. Most of these valleys extend east-west or SSE-WNW parallel to enclosing ranges. They are five to ten kilometers wide and up to a hundred kilometers long.

Inner Terai valleys historically were agriculturally productive but extremely malarial. Indigenous Tharu people had a degree of inherited resistance and populated these areas. A malaria eradication campaign opened the Inner Terai to settlers from the "hills" to the north and from neighbouring India, to the detriment of indigenous peoples.

Important towns in the Inner Terai are:

Triyuga in Kamala
Kamalamai in Marin Khola
Bharatpur (Narayangadh), Hetauda, and Tandi in Chitwan
Tulsipur and Tribhuvannagar (Ghorahi) in Dang
Birendranagar in Surkhet.
Wetter, more malarial parts of the Terai were left forested by official decree during the Rana dynasty as a defensive perimeter called Char Kose Jhadi (four kos forest, one kos equalling about three km or two miles).

Mahendra Highway crosses the Nepal Terai from Kakarbhitta on the eastern border in Jhapa District, Mechi Zone to Mahendranagar near the western border in Kanchanpur District, Mahakali Zone. It is the only motor road spanning the country from east to west.

H1B visa fees revised to USD 4500

Recently the H1B visa fee charges have been made to USD 4500 under the new US Border Security bill passed by the US House . Now H1B visa is of great interest amon the indian IT firms who send workers to US for on-site assignments and also many use this as a gateway to a green card , hence there is a lot of politics and beaurocracy among the indian IT firms in selcting the candidates for the H1B visa and most of the few selected for H1B visa are considered as blessed ones :) , or relatives or kin of the Boss ;-), . Well , this are a few of the criteria to get one's H1B visa filed , but then after entering the US one has to start looking for another job or sponsor for a green card if you are not a kin of the US boss.
This Visa was earlier charged a price of USD 2500 which was very less compared to the benefits this visa gives to the company f getting workers on lower wages and workers to get an entry into the United States to settle , so increasing it to 4500 is very well justified. Also The US government proposes to spend an additional USD 600 million to beef up border security and proposes to fund it by using proceeds from this hike in visa fees , it will be levied once it gets an aye from the House of Representatives and goes under the pen of Mr Obama , and hence become a law.

New Bihar is Predominantly Rural Bihar , But Urban bihar is equally important

With the process of creation of a predominantly 'rural' Bihar, poverty issue has to be addressed with this 'key' factor keeping in mind. A fresh look at the populace (over) dependent on the 'existing resources' (that is regenerative but not inexhaustible) has to be focused. The foreclosures and new opportunities have to be assessed. Being more clear, future Bihar would consist of north and central Bihar plains with enormous but unmanaged water resources, fertile yet degenerating soil quality due to frequent use of chemical fertilizers and soil erosion due to excessive floods every year. Future Bihar will have to share about three-fourth of the existing people with about 55% of the land. Poverty (and associated issue of development) has to be addressed in this context. Appropriate usage of land and efficient usage of existing rivers and water resources needs to be done to create jobs in rural bihar for the migrant labour who works on the Agricultural Land.
And at the same time, more and more jobs and industries need to be started in the urban centres of Bihar and to create jobs for the educated people, who can contribute in running the business efficiently. Urban bihar needs to be developed into important center of business and city /town planning need to be done similar to cities like singapore , which support significant population in limited space available

Nitish's Bihar builds one bridge a day , Soon nitish will build one engg college a day

" Excerpt from NDTV "
Bihar, now ranked among the fastest-growing Indian states with an enviable expansion of 16.59 percent last fiscal, has been building one bridge each working day since November 2005, leaving Chief Minister Nitish Kumar quite busy cutting ribbons.

"We have built 1,671 bridges under the Chief Minister's Bridge Building Programme and another 450-odd bridges under our plan and non-plan outlays since November 2005," says Bihar Road Construction Department Secretary Pratyay Amrit.

Soon we expect Mr Nitish Kumar and his party to start building one engineering college / 1 medical college per day , one IT company per day , one airport per day, one multiplex per day , one high rise commercial building and one housing society per day . So that bihar can get some what better place to live ,and not known as naxal state anymore

MNS is a malaria mosquito

Outraged over MNS chief Raj Thackeray indicating that spread of malaria in Mumbai was due to migrant workers from North India, RJD on Tuesday demanded his arrest on charges of hurting sentiments of people of Bihar and UP. "Thackeray has yet again hurt the sentiments of the people of Bihar
and Uttar Pradesh by making snide remarks against them by holding the migrants responsible for outbreak of malaria in Mumbai," RJD Spokesman Shakeel Ahmed Khan told reporters in Patna.
For this, the government should arrest him, he demanded.
This is not the first time the MNS chief has invoked anger over the issue as he has time and again taken a swipe at the lakhs of migrant labourers from the two states who work in Mumbai.
MNS has now created a new malaria row , blaming it on outsiders in Mumbai , but in reality MNS and Shiv Sena are themselves biggest malarial mosquitoes of society who should be treated with proper pencillin.

Bihar Board and poorvanchal Board should include chapter s on bihar's historical personalities and bihar literature.

I would like to make a suggestion here that Poorvacnhal educational board and Bihar educational Board and poorvanchal Board should include chapter s on bihar's historical personalities and bihar's literature. so that it will inculcate a sense of bihari pride amongst bihari pupils.

Also Hindi literature and English Literature should inculde chapters on life and works of Lal bahadur shastri , Rajendra babu , kabir Dasa , all the works of Bihar literateur like Kabir Das, Tulsi Das etc should also be translated into other Aryan Languages like Spanish, English , French, German etc etc. And also some of their works should be included into the School and college curriculum

Pakistan has the legitimate claim to Kashmir

Pakistan has the legitimate claim to Kashmir . Indian govt by deceit took control of Kashmir during partition.

At the time, Britain divided its former colony on the Indian subcontinent between Islamic Pakistan and
Hindu-dominated India. The Hindu ruler of Kashmir, a former principality of 12 million people --
most of whom were Muslims, opted for India.

Associated Press.
When the ruler requested Indian army protection in the face of rioting and advancing Pakistani troops
, the two nations fought the first of their three wars to a standstill.

Kashmir has been divided ever since, with India claiming its portion as an integral part of its territory,
and Pakistan insisting, with the backing of United Nations resolutions, that Kashmiris have the right to
choose whether they will be part of either country or independent

Pakistan is providing a moral, diplomatic and political support, and this support is deep-rooted in the minds
and hearts of the Pakistani people," says Ghulam Mohammad Safi, a leader of the All Parties Hurriet Conference,
a coalition of Kashmiri political parties. "People feel that Kashmir belongs to them.
They feel we have every right to come to the rescue of our brethren inside Indian-occupied Kashmir.
The Kashmir struggle is a legitimate struggle of self-determination," says Shireen Mazari, director of the Institute of Strategic Studies, a think tank financed by Pakistan's Foreign Ministry. "Why should we not support the right of people for self-determination?

"At the end the day, Pakistan is not going to abandon the Kashmiri struggle," Mazari says. "In that case, there can be no compromise."
